Simple Business Manager — Privacy Policy

Simple Business Manager is a business-record organizer for iPhone and iPad developed by McKittrick LLC. This policy describes the app as it is currently in development. It distinguishes information you keep in the app from optional Apple services, information you choose to share, support email, and this website.
Your business library
Information you enter or import, such as business profiles, contact and resource details, dates, notes, logos, documents, and receipts, is stored in an encrypted library on your device. The app does not link to your bank accounts or automatically send your business library to a McKittrick-hosted database. An optional device-owner authentication setting adds an app access screen; it is not a separate backup password.
You can edit or delete records in the app. Deleting a record does not delete copies you previously exported, shared, or saved elsewhere. The device-only key for the local library may not transfer to a replacement device; keep a separate, protected export if you need a recovery copy.
Optional iCloud sync
If you choose to enable Sync with iCloud, the app sends an encrypted copy of your business library, including documents and receipts, to Apple’s private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. iCloud Keychain is used for the sync key. McKittrick LLC does not receive your business records through this sync. Apple processes iCloud account and service information under Apple’s privacy policy.
Sync is optional and runs while the app is open; it does not promise immediate delivery between devices, background backup, or recovery in every account or device-loss scenario. You can turn sync off in Settings and manage iCloud data through Apple’s settings. Turning sync off does not itself remove previously stored iCloud copies or exported files. Keep a separate protected backup rather than relying on sync as your only copy.
Imports, processing, and sharing
When you choose a photo or file, scan a document, or review extracted text, the app processes that material on your device and adds it to your library only through the app’s save flow. Camera, Photos, Files, and notification access depend on the features you choose and your device settings. Optional reminders are scheduled through Apple’s notification system with generic notification text.
Export business library creates an unencrypted file that can contain the entire library, including documents and logos. Other user-directed sharing or handoff features may include original document contents, even when some metadata is redacted; protected backup and passphrase-protected packet options are distinct from a plain export. You control the destination, recipients, and protection of files you export or share. We cannot delete copies held by other apps, recipients, or storage providers. Do not store passwords, full payment-card details, or security codes in the app.
Advertising and purchases
The current development version does not include an advertising or third-party analytics SDK in the iOS app, or in-app purchases. This statement is about the app, not this website or Apple services. If those app integrations change, this policy will be updated.
Support and information you send us
If you email support, we and the email services handling your message receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send passwords, EINs, account numbers, business-library exports, or unredacted sensitive documents and screenshots. For questions or requests about support information you sent us, contact support@mckittrick.co. Support email is separate from the app’s local library and your iCloud account.
This website
This company website is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure website visits and performance. Website requests and measurement can involve the page visited, referring site, browser or device information, and performance measurements. This website measurement is separate from the app’s business library.
